Caroline Marie Simmons Kudasik, beloved mother, daughter, and wife passed away peacefully on March 3rd at the age of 59 surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.
Born on March 1st, 1965 in Pittston, Caroline was the cherished daughter of Peter & Angeline Donnora and the late John Simmons. She grew up in West Pittston where she developed her kind-hearted nature and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Throughout her life, Caroline was known for her warmth, compassion, and generosity. She touched the lives of many with her gentle spirit and selfless acts of kindness. Her love knew no bounds, and she always put the needs of others before her own, including her cats; Midge and Molly. She was also a proud member of the Exeter Lion’s Club where she was able to further her love for community through their reach.
A devoted mother, Caroline poured her heart and soul into nurturing and supporting her children. She was their rock, their confidante, and their guiding light. Her love and wisdom will continue to inspire and guide them in the days ahead.
In addition to her role as a mother, Caroline was a cherished friend, neighbor, and colleague. She had a gift for bringing people together and creating a sense of belonging wherever she went. Her smile could light up a room, and her laughter was infectious.
With her entrepreneurial spirit, Caroline was the proprietor of many small businesses and her favorite of them all was, “Sweet Carolines Café”. Through her years of owning & operating, Caroline got to know many of the residents of West Pittston, while pouring a hot or cold brew. She was a phenomenally talented interior decorator, and worked for Home Interiors for 20+ years. Most recently, she was a secretary at Wyoming Area School District where she enjoyed every day interacting with the students.
She was preceded in death by her fathers John Simmons and Peter Donnora, her grandmother Angeline Julia Corridoni, her mother-in-law Maryann Kudasik, and many other family members and friends.
Caroline leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and grace that will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. While her physical presence may be gone, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Caroline leaves behind her beloved husband of 39 years Raymond Kudasik, son Andrew Kudasik and his wife Colleen, their son 7-month-old grandson Jack, a daughter Mara Kudasik and fiancé Jim Demarco, father-in-law Raymond Kudasik, Sr and her devoted and loving mother Angeline Donnora.
