Anne L. (Berecin) Hajala

Anne L. Hajala, 92, formerly of Exeter, passed away on Saturday October 18, 2025 at the United Methodist Homes, Wesley Village Campus, Pittston.

Born in Plains, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Timko Berecin.

Anne was a 1951 graduate of Plains High School and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, ( Corpus Christi Parish), Exeter.

She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2001 and a granddaughter Christine  and daughter in law Erin both in 2018, also her brothers Joseph, Michael, and Andrew Berecin.

Surviving are her son Joseph, Exeter and daughter Michele and her husband Mark Evans, Winter Park, Florida and a brother George and his wife Ann Berecin, Plains.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday October 24, 2025 from 9am until 10:30am at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

A Mass of Christian burial will then take place at 11am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 224 Memorial St., Exeter.

Interment with Rite of Committal will follow at Mount Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton.
