Anthony T. Sakalouckas, 79, of Kingston, passed away on Friday March 24, 2023 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Anthony F. and Rose Orlando Sakalouckas.
Anthony was a graduate of West Wyoming High School and went on to study Computer Programming.
Prior to his retirement in 2010, he worked as a computer programmer with the United States Postal service for most of his working life .
Preceding him in death were his sister Regina Bolz.
He was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years, the former Maria Geckova, whom he married in 2004 and a daughter, Amy ( Michael Dalmas, Manassas, Va. , and a son David ( Jamey) Sakalouckas, Colorado., grandchildren Mia, and Jacob Dalmas, and Rylan Rose Sakalouckas. Also surviving are a brother, John, West Pittston, and a cousin Mary Sakalouckas as well as several other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday from 9-11am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, St. Barbara Parish, 224 Memorial Street, Exeter.
A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11am with the Monsignor John Sempa, pastor.
Interment will be in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Pittston.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, or to the charity of your choice.
