Arlene Theresa Solovey Stella, a life resident of Plains Township, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully Good Friday, April 7th, 2023.
Born November 17, 1944, Arlene was the daughter of Michael and Helen Canterini Solovey. She was a graduate of Plains High School and Bradford Beauty Academy.
Arlene was the founding CEO of Stell Enterprises Inc., the family construction company until 2017, and was crucial to the company’s success.
She married the love of her life, Robert A. (“Bootsy”) Stella, her high school sweetheart, with whom she celebrated 55 years of marriage.
Arlene was also the proud mother of her son, Robert M. Stella, who was her whole world, along with his wife Marisa, and granddaughters Mara and Kyra.
Arlene loved fishing, spending time at her river campsite, cooking, and spending time at the casino.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Helen (Canterini) Solovey.
Arlene is survived by: her loving husband Robert A. Stella; her son Robert M. Stella and his wife Marisa; her grandchildren Mara Stella and her fiancé John Terrana and Kyra Stella; her brother Michael (“Uncle Mike”) Solovey and his wife Ailene; numerous nieces and nephews including: Michelle Gorey, Christina Kopinski, and Nicole Fath; numerous great-nieces and nephews including Felicia Hydock, Brooke Gorey, Tony Gorey, and David Kopinski.
There will be a private mass of Christian Burial at Saints Peter & Paul’s Church, Plains.
Interment at the convenience of the family. No calling hours as per Arlene’s request. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, St.Jude.org in memory of Arlene.
