Deborah A. Volpi

Deborah “Debbie”  A. Volpi, 65, a lifelong resident of Exeter, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 27, 2022. 

Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Orlando "Lon" and ”Connie Meloro  Volpi.

Debbie was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School’s Class of 1974.  After graduation she became employed by the Social Security Administration for 31 years, and then the Cross Valley Federal Credit Union for 13 years.

Throughout her life, Debbie enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Skippy and Buddy.  She also cherished holidays and special occasions spent with her best friends, family, and loved ones.

Debbie is survived by her cousins; best friend Jolyne Schwab and husband Tony Schwab; nephew Anthony Schwab and wife Brandi Schwab; and godson Michael Schwab.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Gubbiotti Funeral Home,LLC ,1030 Wyoming Ave. ,Exeter, PA,

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 2, at 9:30 AM in the Parish of Saint Barbara, 224 Memorial St., Exeter, PA 18643.  The Monsignor John Sempa, pastor will be celebrant.

Visitation for family and friends will be held in the church 8:30–9:30 AM.  

Interment will be in the Italian Independent Cemetery, 101 Stites St., West Wyoming, PA, 18644.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SCPA of Luzerne County.
