Dolores Ann (DeMark) Seman

Dolores Ann (DeMark) Seman, 94, of Wyoming, was called home to our Lord on Friday, May 16, 2025, in Geisinger Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in Pittston on February 28, 1931, she was the daughter of the late George and Lillian Bartlett Dennis.

She was a graduate of Hughestown High School. Dolores worked at the former Rex Shoe Co. for many of her younger years to support her 3 young children after the sudden passing in 1971 of her first husband, Carmen J. DeMark, Pittston, PA.  Mom later worked at Wyoming Area School District, and then for more than 25 years she was the administrator at St. John the Baptist Church in Exeter, PA until she retired after it was closed.

Family and faith were her passions. Mom belonged to the former St. Cecilia’s Parish in Exeter, serving as the chairman of the bazaar, past President of the Christian Mothers Society, and a long-time member of the choir where she met her second love of her life John R. Seman of Exeter.  Dolores loved being mom, offering support, guidance, and unconditional love to her large family. 

In addition to her parents, Dolores is preceded in death by her second husband, John, who passed in 2017, her siblings George Dennis and Joan Walsh Porfirio, her oldest son, David DeMark, and grandson, Matthew DeMark.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of those she touched. She is survived by her children, Karen (DeMark) Foglia and her husband Bernard, Exeter; Carmen DeMark and his wife Nancy (Fornett) DeMark, of Exeter and John Patrick Seman and his wife Julie Haas, of Lansdale, daughter in law Noreen DeMark, Avoca; her 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren along with the many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, 10:00 am, at St. Anthony of Padua Church (Corpus Christi Parish), 224 Memorial St., Exeter.

Interment will be private.
