Obituary
Douglas George Skene, 58, formerly of Pittston, passed away on Wednesday August 16, 2023, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Born in Mineola, New York he was the second son of Harry and Inge Skene.
He graduated from Carle Place High School in Carle Place, NY where he played baseball and attended general studies. After graduating he joined the Electrical Union, Local 3 where he enjoyed a career as an electrician until his health began to fail.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry on Feb. 1, 2017, and his mother inge BorriesSkene on May 9, 2022.
Surviving are his brother Harry W. and his wife, Catherine of Exeter.
Two nephews Trevor E. Skene and Evan A. Skene and wife Abigail and two great nieces Claire O Skene and Gabriella E. Skene.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. Services are private; at the convenience of the family.
