Elizabeth ( Betty) (Marstell) Hughes

Elizabeth  ( Betty) Hughes, 90. of West Pittston, passed away on Thursday March 14, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Exeter, she was the daughter of the late George, Sr. and Mary Blashock Marstell.

Betty was a homemaker most of her life married life. She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Parish in Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston.

Preceding her in death were her husband Theodore in 2012 and brothers George and Joseph Marstell, and a sister Lillian Marstell.

Surviving are her children: Allen ( Evelyn) Hughes, Harding, Theodore ( Sherri) Hughes, West Pittston , William Hughes, West Pittston, and Cheryl ( John ) Carmadella, West Pittston, grandchildren Jennifer ( Patrick) Farrell and great grandchildren, Kayle and Olivia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday from 5-7pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

Funeral will be on Tuesday at 9:30am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Corpus Christi Parish, Immaculate Conception Church, West Pittston. The Monsignor John Sempa, pastor will be celebrant.

Interment will be in West Pittston Cemetery.
