Eugene G. Panatieri

Eugene G. Panatieri, 89, of Laflin passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday May 4, 2024 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Plains, he was the son of the late John and Alvira Pascucci Panatieri.

Mr. Panatieri attended Plains High School. As a young teenager he worked at the Ralph Deflici Poultry and at the age of 17 he began his career in the construction industry. He  worked until he was 67 years old with the # 1 Contracting Corporation for Louis Pagnotti Construction, as a crane operator.

Preceding him in death were his daughter Deborah Jean Panatieri Gorski, brothers Sylvester and John Panatieri and a sister Frances Panatieri Mattiucci.

Surviving are his wife of 70 years, the former Pauline Judnick, his son Gregory (Sara) Panatieri at home and their daughter, Maria Panatieri, the light of his life, , along with several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his visitation which will be held on Sunday from 4-7 pm  and again on Monday from 8:30am until 9:30am at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

Funeral will be on Monday at 9:30am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Church, William St., Pittston, with the Rev. Joseph Elston, Pastor, as celebrant.

Interment with rite of committal will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
