Obituary

Eva Casseri, 98, formerly of Exeter and West Wyoming, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at River View Nursing & Rehab Facility, Wilkes Barre

The daughter of Quintilio and Neomi Casseri Pisaneschi, Eva was a graduate of Exeter High School in 1942. She later worked in the garment industry as a seamstress and floor manager.

 Eva was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church (St. Barbara Parish) and cherished receiving communion from Carmen. She prayed her rosary daily for her family and friends.She and her beloved sister, the late Tecla Pennesi, volunteered at St. Vincent’s food kitchen in Wilkes Barre. In addition to her volunteerism, She loved to sew and crochet gifts.

 Eva is survived by her daughter Sharon-Casseri- Musloski (Jerry), Harding and son Mark Casseri (Hope Kmetz-Casseri), Kasilof, Alaska

 Supporting her children’s activities of band and sports while students at Wyoming Area School District, Eva remained proud of their accomplishments throughout their adult life.

 She loved to hear about her grandchildren, Jonathan Musloski, Amanda and Michael Church and Matthew Musloski as well as great grandchildren and great grandchildren Liam and Avagelina Church’s activities.

 She was a special mother, grandma and great grandma that was loved and will be missed. 

 Eva was an avid reader and enjoyed audio books until she could no longer.

 She enjoyed her weekly visits from her nephew Fred Pennesi and Candy Hoffman as well as enjoying their fresh salads from their garden.

 Eva is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Casseri, her sister Tecla and brother-in-law, Fred Pennesi, grandson, Michael Casseri and most recently, brother-in-law, Aldo Casseri. 

 Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at St. Anthony of Padua Church ( St. Barbara Parish), Exeter, from 9:00 a.m. until 10am. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J. as celebrant.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Barbara Parish or to Northeast Sight Services, 1825 Wyoming Ave, Exeter, PA 18643.
