Frank Joseph Castrignano, 67, of Trucksville, passed away unexpectedly on July 25th, 2023.
Frank was born in Wilkes Barre on August 11th, 1955. He was a graduate of the West Side Career & Technology Center. Frank was most recently employed by the Hazleton Regional Airport & previously the Wilkes Barre Scranton International Airport for more than 30 years.
Frank is survived by his wife of 40 years Roxanne Smith Castrignano, daughter Morgan, step daughters Melanie Derby & her husband Aaron, Meagan Eberhardt & her husband Christopher, grandchildren Hunter & Harlan Derby, Makenna Eberhardt as well as nephew Douglas Jones. Frank was preceded in death by his parents Frank Rocco & Lola Ann Santarelli Castrignano & beloved sister Diane Jones.
Frank was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather & friend. He had a passion for riding his Harley Davidson, restoring, rebuilding & all mechanics surrounding motorcycles & his “Z” cars, wood working, coin collecting, aeronautics & saltwater aquariums. Frank was a true renaissance man. There was nothing that he couldn’t build or repair. Frank constructed the family home from the ground up. Free time was often spent in his woodshop skillfully crafting handmade gifts for those he cared for. The love, time, blood, sweat & tears that went into each project will be cherished by his family & friends for a lifetime. Though Frank had many passions, none were more precious to him than his family. He set an example for all to see, what a man, husband, father & grandfather should be. He was tragically taken from us far too early, but his memory will live on through his family for generations. Frank, Dad, Pa, you may have ridden off into the sunset, but never forget, we miss you, love you & will see you again down the road...
