George G. Oschal, 89, of Exeter, passed away on Tuesday June 11, 2024 while in the care of Commonwealth Health Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late George G., Sr. and Irene Piekarski Oschal.
Mr. Oschal was a 1952 graduate of Pittston High School and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter, Corpus Christi Parish.
He retired from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for many years.
Preceding him in death were his wife the former Hortense Pancotti Oschal in 2021 and a granddaughter Julia Crossley also a brother Daniel Oschal.
Surviving are his children: George and his wife Corinne, Drums, James and his wife Janet, Shavertown, Maria and her husband Robert Cappola, Wyoming and Paul, Exeter.
Grandchildren: Krysti, James, Jr. and Lauren Oschal and sister, Helen Claire Oschal, Pittston and sisters- in-law Bernadette Oschal, Moosic and Tina DeSuta, Mercer, Pa. along with nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial on Monday June 17, 2024 at 10am at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 224 Memorial St., Exeter with the Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S. J. as celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Cecelia Cemetery, Schooley St., Exeter.
