Harold Burritt Obituary

Harold T. Burritt, 80, of Exeter, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, April 13, 2025, under the compassionate care of Allied Services Hospice, Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre.

Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, Harold was the beloved son of the late Alfred and Ruth Solt Burritt. He was a proud graduate of Coughlin High School, Lackawanna College,

 and West Side Vocational Technical School, where he honed his skills in electrical engineering. Harold dedicated over four decades as a Master Electrician to the Wilkes-Barre 

Housing Authority, leaving a legacy of expertise and hard work.

A man of deep faith, Harold was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church, West Pittston. He also served his nation with honor as a U.S. Air Force veteran during the

 Vietnam War, embodying patriotism and commitment.

Harold was preceded in death by his brothers, Alfred and Dale Burritt.

 He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Linda (Snyder) Burritt, and his devoted sons, Keith Burritt (and his wife Brenda) of Pittston, and Kevin Burritt and his partner Scott Lorenc of Arlington, Virginia.

 Harold is also fondly remembered by his sister, Marilyn Good of Wilkes-Barre, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday from 4-7pm and again at 9am -10 am Thursday at Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming

 Avenue, Exeter. 

Funeral services will begin at 10am on  Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kelly Groves, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Wyoming Ave., West Pittston.

Interment with Military Honors accorded by the U.S. Air Force will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the medical staff at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital for the care given to Harold during his illness.
