Hortense M. Oschal, 85, of Exeter, entered into eternal life on Friday, August 27, 2021 while in the care of the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Amedeo and Mary Tarantino Pancotti.
Hortense was a member of St. Barbara Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.
She was a homemaker most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Julia Oschal Crossley; daughter-in-law, Patricia Claherty Oschal; and great granddaughter, Riley.
Surviving are her husband of 65 years, George Oschal; her children, Atty. George Oschal and his wife, Corinne, Drums; Atty. James Oschal and his wife, Janet, Shavertown; Maria and her husband, Robert Cappola, Wyoming; and Paul Oschal, Exeter; her grandchildren, Krysti; James Jr., and Lauren Oschal; her great-grandchildren, Brayden and McKenzie. Also surviving is a sister, Clementina and her husband, Joseph Desuta, Mercer, Pa.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at St. Barbara Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, 224 Memorial St., Exeter. The Rev. Michael Finn, Pastor, will be celebrant.
Interment will be in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Schooley St., Exeter.
At Hortense's request, the viewing will be private for her immediate family.
