Jacqueline L. Anselmi, 77, formerly of Exeter, passed away on May 24, 2023 in Trinity, Florida with her husband Ray by her side.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Maxwell and Nancy Vance Ludwig.
Jackie was a 1964 graduate of Wyoming Memorial High School. She was the matriarch of the family, lighting up the room whenever she entered and brought everything to life.
She was a great animal lover, rescuing many kinds of animals and giving them a safe home.
Early on she had worked in the garment industry then worked at several restaurants managing their establishments. She then taught cosmetology classes at Jerrytone Beauty School, Pittston. Not one to sit still, Jackie also found the time to work at Lowe's and Home Depot. All this while raising their children.
She was preceded in death by her son Raymond, III, and a sister May Jean Hoffman.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Raymond A. Anselmi, and children, Desirae Jacqueline, Exeter, and Antonio ( Jamie), Trinity, Florida, grandchildren, John Connor, Ella, Emma, Eva, Eden, Emery , Eli and soon to be on the way Ezra.
Also surviving are a brother WIlliam ( Bernice) Ludwig, Tunkhannock, and a sister Lee Robertson, NH.
A family visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10am from the funeral home with the Rev. William Lukesh, officiating.
Entombment will be in Mount Olivet Mausoleum, Wyoming.
