Jane A. (Pickett) Kaminski

Jane Ann (Pickett) Kaminski of Exeter passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday evening January 12th, 2021 at the Highland Park Senior Living, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Ashley she was the daughter of the late Evan and Mary (Glennon) Pickett. 

Jane graduated from Wilkes Barre Township High School in 1947.

Prior to marrying the love of her life, Jane worked at Woolworths in Wilkes Barre. However, Jane soon realized her true calling in life was to be a devoted and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Jane loved vacationing with her family to Florida, Canada, as well as countless other destinations.

 Her favorite destination was Walt Disney World in Florida. Where she celebrated her 60th wedding anniversary and was very proud to have enjoyed every roller coaster in the parks.

 Jane was involved in fundraising for the Deborah Hospital.

In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband of 67 years Joseph Kaminski, infant son Joseph, brothers Donald, Evan, and Thomas Pickett.

She will be greatly missed by her children Dr. Rosemary Zucosky and husband Dr. John Zucosky Ridgefield Park NJ, ;Joann Skoronski and husband Leo Jude Skoronski, Exeter,; John Kaminski Exeter,; Judy Bolinski and husband David Bolinski Lake Twp.

Jane’s memory will also be cherished by her grandchildren, Dr. Leann Skoronski. Dr. Laura Skoronski Chavez and husband Rico Chavez, Leo Joseph Skoronski, Lynzie Skoronski, and Dr. Rachel Zucosky. As well as great granddaughter Reh Susan Chavez, and sister in laws Madelyn Pickett, Helen Samuels, and Rose Marie Kaminski.

Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation from 8:30am-9:30am on Saturday January 16 at Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave. Exeter, PA 18643. 

Masks will be required and all CDC social distancing procedures will be followed.

A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, The Parish of St. Barbara 224 Memorial St Exeter, PA 18643.

The Rev. Michael Finn, pastor, will be celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

The family would like to extend the sincerest thank you to all of the staff at Highland Park Senor Living Wilkes Barre Twp. for all of their care and love and becoming part of Jane’s family over the past 5 years, as well as Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their love and support.  

Memorial donations, if desired, may be made in Jane's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
