Joan I. (Richards) Jemiola

September 5, 1935 ~ September 3, 2022 (age 86)


Joan I. Jemiola, 86, of Dupont, went into the arms of the Lord on September 3, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Exeter, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Irene Mislan Richards.

Joan was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont .

She was a 1953 graduate of Exeter High School  and  held many jobs including working for the former Rex Shoe Factory, Exeter and in various dress factories in the garment industry and lastly the job she loved was working at Cebula's Pizza, Dupont.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her brother Dennis in 2003 and Frank in 2022.

Surviving are her husband  of 64 years, Henry S. Jemiola, children, Joann and her husband Joseph Chesniak, Judy and her husband Dan Hartigan, Jeffrey Jemiola, all of Dupont , 3 grandchildren Kimberly Chesniak, Ryan and Josh Hartigan and  a sister Dorothy Savoy, Plains.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a  Mass of Christian Burial  on Saturday at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with the Rev. Thomas J. Petro, J.C.L., pastor as celebrant.

Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Arrangements are in the care of Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
