John (Jack) Patrick Delmar, 61, passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2024 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of Mary Catherine and the late John Delmar.
John was a graduate of Tunkhannock High School and Cumberland County College.
He served his country and couldn't be prouder of his service in the United States Navy and Army it truly shaped who he was as a person.
Prior to moving to Florida, he worked as a registered nurse at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in Wilkes-Barre and previously as the director of surgical services at CMC in Scranton. While in Florida he continued to work in the medical field in sales with Camber Spine.
John loved his Philadelphia Eagles and watching them win a Super Bowl was the pinnacle of his fandom.
Surviving are his wife of 33 years Joyce Delmar. Children, William Delmar and wife Samantha, Victoria Walborn and husband Christopher, Teresa Colvin and husband Kyle, and Matthew Delmar and girlfriend Jessica Pacovsky. Grandchildren, Mark, Colin, Ayla, and Matthew Delmar Jr, Kenleigh and Kaelynn Colvin, and Finley Walborn who were the light of his life. Sisters, Deborah and husband Vincent Maciorkoski, Catherine and husband Robert Roberts, and brother Joeseph and Jennifer Delmar. As well as many nieces and nephews.
John touched so many people in his special ways. Everyone he was close with became family to him. He strived to be like his father and absolutely achieved that throughout his life. The world certainly lost a shining star.
