John W. Santee

John W. Santee, 75, of Pittston passed away on Thursday July 15, 2021 at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.

Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Caroline Lacina Santee.

He was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army, spending time in Germany.

Prior to his retirement, he had worked at the Tobyhanna Army Depot and later on worked as a van driver for Pace Transportation.

He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Kostick and a brother Thomas Santee.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years the former Theresa Payavis and children, Cynthia Santee, at home, Michael and his wife Heather, Harding and John Santee, Swoyersville. His grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle and Ryleigh and brothers Joseph and his wife Ursula, Oklahoma, George and his wife Ruth, Noxen and a sister Johanna and her husband Thomas Wozniak, Luzerne also survive him.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Saturday July 24, 2021 from 10am-12pm at Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.  

Monsignor John Sempa, will preside at services at noon at the funeral home.

Private interment at a later date will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Swoyersville.
