Obituary

Gerard Joseph T. Loftus, 73, of West Pittston, passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2023 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp.


Born in Pittston on November 14, 1949, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anne McGuiness Loftus.  


He was a graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School and attended Mansfield University.


Joseph was a United State Veteran having served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.


Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Bell Telephone.


Surviving are his daughter Meghan and her husband Paul Kita, and grandchildren, Theodore and Matilda, Allentown, a sister Margaret Norwood and a brother John Loftus and several nieces and nephews.


Relatives and friends are invited to  graveside services  on Tuesday February 21 at 10am at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, 4115 Memorial Highway, Dallas, Pa. 18612


The Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J. will preside over services.


Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
