Joseph M. Simko

Joseph M. Simko, 61, of Harding passed into eternal life on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Joseph was the son of the late Stephen and Dorothy Gavlick Simko .

He was a man of many passions and a life well lived. He grew up in Harding surrounded by love and warmth by  his parents. He had a deep affinity for horses and dedicated himself to raising them, a pursuit that brought him numerous trophies and accolades. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the world through his various travel trailers, but his heart found solace at the beach.

A dedicated gardener, Joseph found joy in nurturing the beauty of nature. He was also known to be a true lover of Dobermans, forming strong and lasting bonds with his canine companions over the years.  Alongside his triumphs, Joseph bore the pain of losing his parents, three brothers James, Daniel and George and sister Geraldine Talley, and brother in law Dr. Daniel Bishop.

Joseph's legacy lives on through his surviving loved one, including his devoted sister Theresa Bishop and brothers Stephen and Thomas as well as countless cherished nephews, nieces and cousins.

While no funeral services have been scheduled at this time, Joseph's memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he find peace in the embrace of eternity.
