Louise P. (Bartoletti) Leandri

Louise P. Leandri, 94, formerly of Exeter, passed away on Saturday June 10, 2023 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in Exeter, she was the daughter of the late Apolinaro and Rachele Bartocci Bartoletti.

Louise was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church ( St. Barbara Parish) and was a graduate of Exeter High School.

After graduating from high school she was employed at Consolidated Cigar in West Pittston where she met her future husband Joseph Leandri. They owned and operated Joe's Bar in Exeter for many years. After raising her children, she worked at Gail's Fashions, Plains as a payroll clerk.

Preceding her in death were her husband Joseph in 2001, her beloved son, Joseph in 2020 and sisters, Margaret Yucknis and Helen Battaglino and brothers, Emil and Dino Bartoletti and a younger brother Louis.

She is survived by her daughter, Maria Yonki and her husband Robert, Hughestown, grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Yonki and his wife Allison; Deanna Yonki; Alyssa Smith and her husband Aaron, Rachel Leandri and her fiancée, Kyle Davis, daugher- in- law, Debbie Leandri, great grandchildren, Brayden and Connor Yonki, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A special expression of gratitude for her visiting angel, Michele Stolarick, who took care of Louise for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9am from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30am at St. Barbara Parish in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 224 Memorial St., Exeter. The Rev. Paul J. McDonnell, O.S.J., will be celebrant.

Interment will be in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
