Maureen A. (Greeley) Orth

Maureen A. Orth, 63, of Pittston Twp., passed away on February 20, 2025 peacefully with her family by her side.

Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Rose Cherone Greeley.

Maureen was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and went on to further her education at the Luzerne County Community College earning a degree in child development.

She had worked as a teachers aide at Pittston Area for years.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her brother James Greeley.

Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Brian Orth, Sr., a son Brian, Jr. and his wife Heather Orth, grandchildren Madelynn, Liliana, and Beau Duke. Also a sister Donna and her husband Ken Collins, Jenkins Twp and nieces and nephews, Jenna Collins, Nadine, Kenny ( Butch), Eddie and Robbie.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday from 5-7 pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 10am at St. Anthony's Church ( Corpus Christi Parish), 224 Memorial St., Exeter. The Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J. will be celebrant.
