Nancy L. Tighe, 73, of West Pittston, passed into eternal life on Thursday May 14, 2026 at the Embassy of East Mountain Nursing Home, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Estelle Cenzar Vensky.
Nancy was a 1971 graduate of Wyoming Area School District and a member of Corpus Christi Parish ( Immaculate Conception Church) West Pittston and their Christian Womens Society.
She also attended Barbazon School of Modeling. Nancy worked at Choices as a drug and alcohol counselor and also worked at the Victims Resourses Center, helping numerous people in their time of need.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald Vensky.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, James F. Tighe, and sons, James D. and his fiancee Paula Ferrara, Pittston, and Justin D.and his wife Anna, Scranton, grandchildren, James V. Tighe, Dupont and Justin Jr. and Leo Vincent Tighe, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are her siblings, Carole Reedy and her husband Robert, Exeter, John and his wife Sandy, Duryea and Linda Wagner and her husband Robert, Dallas.
A Mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday at 10am at Corpus Christi Parish in Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Ave. West Pittston.
The Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J. will be celebrant.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 9:00am until 10am Mass.
