Nicholas P. Hromek R.N.

Nicholas P. Hromek R.N., 24, a resident of Exeter, passed away on Saturday morning, August 28, 2021.

Born on March 26, 1997, in Kingston, Nicholas was the son of Kimberly A. Hromek, West Pittston, and Leonard L. Hromek and stepmother Jayne, West Wyoming.

Nick’s pride and joy was raising his son, Nico. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Breaking Benjamin fan. Nick was known for his creations in the kitchen and growing his own vegetable garden.

Nick was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, Class of 2015. Furthering his education at Misericordia University, Dallas, Nick went on to be a Cum Laude graduate, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2020.

Nick was a dedicated and caring Intensive Care Unit Nurse for Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, and Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale.

Nick was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard and Diane Hromek; his maternal grandmother, Lois Hanadel; and his uncle, Dean Hromek.

In addition to his father, mother, and step-mother, Nick is survived by his beloved son, Nico Hromek, and the mother of his son, Michaella Pack, both of Pittston; his brother, Chris Hromek; his step-brother, David Stokes; his step-sister, Jessica Gallagher; his nephew, Logan Hromek; his aunts, Margee Hromek, and Michelle Arnone and her husband, Chris; his uncle, Phil Hanadel and his wife, Renee; his cousins, Justin Hromek, Allison Lamoreaux, and Steven Hanadel; his girlfriend, Bri Scutt; as well as his friends and colleagues.

Family and Friends are invited to attend Nick’s viewing which will be held on Wednesday, September 01, 2021, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, L.L.C., 1030 Wyoming Avenue, Exeter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 02, 2021, at 11:30 AM Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston, with Monsignor John J. Sempa, Pastor, officiating.

Friends are asked to assemble directly at the church on Thursday morning,

Interment will follow in Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, West Wyoming.
