Phyllis A. Frushon, 63, of Wyoming, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday January 4, 2021. She passed at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Blandina and Louise Pizano.
Phyllis was a graduate of Wyoming Area class of 1976. After graduating, Phyllis worked for B&S Sewing Machines for almost 20 years, the Social Security Administration, and DiscountDance warehouse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Frushon; sisters Liz and Barbara Blandina, and brothers; James and Michael Blandina.
Surviving are her children: Nicholas Frushon; Jamie Frushon, her fiancée Kenneth Miller, and their son, Kenny; and Sarah Frushon. In addition, brother Leonard and his wife Linda Blandina, West Wyoming; and her sisters Rosemary Oliver, Wyoming; Carol Henson and Phyllis’ much beloved nephew James Henson, Wyoming; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A devote Christian, Phyllis carried faith with her always. One of her favorite pieces of scripture was: “God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
Phyllis was an inspiration to all who knew her and touched the souls of everyone she met. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed having her morning cup of coffee while reading her daily scripture, spending time with her loving dog, Bailey, sunrise walks on the beach with her nephew James, and enjoying the beauty of nature. Some of her favorite times consisted of enjoying every minute she had with her three adoring children, from doing DIY projects with her son to baking delicious sweets with her daughter. She was ecstatic to plan her daughter’s wedding and always looked forward to her chats about life with Emily. She also cherished every moment she was able to spend with her grandson, her “sweet angel,” Kenny. He was the light of her life. Phyllis was admired for her unbelievably strong work ethic and warm and comforting spirit. She will be loved and missed dearly by all.
