Rena A. O'Dell, 89, of West Pittston, passed away on Monday September 4, 2023 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late August and Julia Catani Bocci.
Rena was a graduate of West Pittston High School and had retired from the Bell Telephone Co. as a supervisor. Most recently, she worked part time at DeMinico Chiropractic, Pittston.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 63 years Henry E. O'Dell in 2018 and siblings, Dolores Salvatore, Mary Fanti, Lena Galantini, Elizabeth Chiavacci , Ida Cardamone, Rosemary Rosetti, Angelo and Frank Stella and Fernando Bocci.
Surviving are her son, Henry George O'Dell and his wife Karen, West Pittston and grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Jennifer and Christopher and his wife Holly and a great grandson, Christopher Henry. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Rena was an amazing, loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. Her beautiful energetic personality brought her many friends throughout the years.
The family would like to thank Dr. Shamsedeen and the Geisinger emergency and trauma staff for the care they had shown Rena.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday at 10am at St. John the Baptist Church, 126 Nesbitt St., Larksville.
A mass of Christian burial will begin at 11:00am at the church with the Rev. Gerald Gurka, pastor, as celebrant.
