Robert J. Kolbeck

July 1, 1958 ~ February 17, 2022 (age 63)


Robert J. Kolbeck, 63, of West Pittston, passed away on Thursday Feb. 17, 2022 at the Allied Health Care Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anne Graboski Kolbeck.

Mr. Kolbeck was a veteran, having served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the Lithuanian Club, Pittston.

Robert enjoyed fishing, nature, and especially spending most of his weekends at the lake with his wife and friends. Buzz loved football, he played in his younger days and enjoyed reffing from the couch later on. He was everyone’s go to handyman and loved helping those in need. 

Preceding him in death were his daughter, Kimberly Ann Burgess on March 21, 2009, his brother Stephen Kolbeck, and his father in law Albert Hite. 

Surviving are his wife of 45 years, the former Donna Hite and daughters Nikita Kolbeck, Wyoming, and Klaryssa Kolbeck, West Pittston, granddaughter Myranda Burgess, Wilkes-Barre, sister Alyce and her husband Ronald Brown, Illinois, and mother in law Carol Hite, Pittston. 

Robert wished to be laid to rest in his normal uniform; his tee shirt and shorts. Please feel free to dress in everyday attire to pay respects. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday from 9-11am at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC., 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Wyoming.
