Roger T. Mattei

Roger T. Mattei 75, of Falls, passed away Monday February 12, 2024, while in the care of the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Roy and Rose Pepe Mattei.

Roger was a 1966 graduate of Exeter High School and served in the U.S. Army National Guard for 26 years. 

Prior to his retirement, he was a manager for Compression Polymers Manufacturing Co.

Everything Roger did, he did big. He cooked big, He sang big. He spoke big. Sometime it was too big but one you knew him you learned it was an expression of his whole self. Those who truly knew him an loved him appreciated it.  

Preceding him in death were his son Roger ( Buddy) Mattei, in 2002 and a brother Roy ( Butch) Mattei.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, the former Elizabeth A. Brooks, daughters, Beth Mattei-Miller, Dallas and Becky Mattei, Falls, grandchildren, Bianca Mattei-Miller and Dylan Miller, a brother Richard and his wife Donna Mattei, Harding, and a sister Regina Pesta, Forty Fort.

Arrangements are in the care of Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave. ,Exeter..
