Settimia (Chip) A. Clarke, 94, a lifelong resident of Exeter, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 5, 2025 at the United Methodist Home, Wesley Village Campus, Pittston.
Born in Exeter, she was the daughter of the late Settimio and Zelinda Neri Ciarmatori. She was a devoted wife to her “Donsie”, to whom she was married for 60 wonderful years. Chip was a graduate of Exeter High School and had a career in Human Resources, retiring from Kings College where she worked for many years. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church (Corpus Christi), Exeter.
Chip had a great zest for life and cherished spending time and having fun with her family. She loved traveling, her annual visits to Long Beach Island, and playing rounds of golf. When at home she enjoyed spending time in the garden with her flowers, swimming and hosting parties at her pool, and watching football while rooting on her Steelers.
Preceding her in death are her husband Donald E. Clarke, brother Libro Ciarmatori, sister Lena Seman and niece Nancy Clarke Russell.
Surviving are her children: Donna (Richard) Mattei, Kathleen (Daniel) Hohol, Jeffrey (Debra) Clarke, Michael Clarke, Soni (Bill) Lee, and Robert Russell along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who adored her and whom she was always trying to feed.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday November 10, 2025, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home LLC, 1030 Wyoming Avenue, Exeter.
A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Church ( Corpus Christi Parish) 224 Memorial Street, Exeter.
Interment with Rite of Committal will be in Mt. Olivet Roman Catholic Cemetery, Carverton.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart and to the staff at Anderson Personal Care, Wesley Village.
