Thomas J. Razawich, Sr., 96, formerly of Exeter, passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2023 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp.
Born in Exeter, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Maslousky Razawich.
He was a member of St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Exeter.
Mr. Razawich was a U.S. Navy veteran having served his country during World War II serving aboard the Battleship USS Iowa in the Pacific.
Prior to his retirement, he worked as an industrial mechanic at American Chain and Cable and Potlatch Corp.
Preceding him in death were his wife of 63 years the former Agnes B. Tirpak in 2010, a daughter, Ann Hannon and siblings, Joseph, Mary, and Bernard Razawich and Josephine Bartoli, Julie Brennan ,and Eleanor Chelland., grandsons, Curtis Razawich, and Evan Razawich, great granddaughter, Claudia Hannon.
Surviving are his children, Diane Hines, Wyoming, Pa., Joseph and his wife Dolores Razawich, Palm Bay, Florida, Thomas and his wife Vicki Razawich, Kingston Twp., Mark and his wife Linda Razawich, Tunkhannock, and Denise and her husband Frank Schevets, Wyoming, Pa., sister, Pauline Richards, York Haven, Pa.
Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, and a sister in law Mary Razawich
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday from 5-7pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.
Military Funeral Honors accorded by the AMVETS Honor Guard will be on Saturday at 9:30am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Barbara Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 224, Memorial St., Exeter. The Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J., will be celebrant.
Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schooley St., Exeter.
