Veronica (Besermin) Gibblets, age 95, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2022.
Born on April 10, 1927 in Swoyersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Klobusovsky Tomascik Besermin. Raised in Swoyersville, she graduated from the former Swoyersville High School.
She is survived by daughters Gloria Lawler (husband William, deceased) of West Wyoming, PA, Judith Hans (husband, Donald) of Pottstown, PA, and Nancy Kutzer (husband, James) of Cranford, NJ, and son George Gibblets (wife, Elizabeth.) She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased in death by her husband, George T. Gibblets, who died in 1992, half-brothers Joseph Tomascik, Francis Tomascik, Steven Tomascik, and brothers John Besermin, George Besermin, and Edward Besermin. She was the only sister and the last surviving sibling in her family.
Vernie was a devout Catholic and loved the comfort of being home, where she was an avid reader and lover of game shows as well as spending time with friends and neighbors, especially her best friend, Polly. She loved the holidays and family celebrations where she shared Slovak foods and traditions and will always be remembered most for her keen sense of humor and quick wit.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be held at Saint Anthony of Padua Church. St. Barbara Parish, 224 Memorial St., Exeter on Friday, May 12th at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Schooley St., Exeter.
