Viola (Cos) Brennan

Viola M. Brennan, 83, of West Pittston, passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2018 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp.

Born in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late John and Angelina Cos.

She attended Baltimore schools and upon moving to this area she was employed as an accounts payable manager for Jewelcor/ Gruen Corp., Wilkes-Barre for 30 years.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish at Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston.

Viola was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Brennan and siblings, John, Robert, Mary and Rita Cos.


Surviving are her daughters Donna Marie Brennan, St. Petersburg, Florida and Maureen Brennan, West Pittston and a sister Dolores Cos, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday from 8:30am until 10:00am at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 10:30am at Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston, with the Msgr. John Sempa, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Duryea.
